Q.
Why did you decide to study in Japan?
A.
After learning Japanese in my country, I decided I wanted to know more about Japan, so I decided to do a exchange program. Because this experience was so fun and I wanted to know more about the culture, I decided to stay more and also do my master’s degree.
Q.
What was your best experience while studying in Japan?
A.
My exchange program in Japan was the best moment of my life, above all the moments in my dormitory. Everyone was so nice and tried their best to help me. In less than a week they were already my family and I am so glad for this experience.
Q.
Through this experience, what did you learn?
A.
It was the first time I had to take care of myself with a visa, my ticket, moving so I learned a lot about personal growth and being independent. I also learned to respect other cultures and accept different points of view.
Q.
What kind of person should come to Japan for study abroad?
A.
Find as much information as possible before arriving and also learn a little bit of Japanese beforehand. It is the best way to make friends and emerge in the culture. Also, enjoy every moment because it can be the best year of your life!
Q.
What advice can you give to those who are thinking of studying in Japan?
A.
If you come to Japan, it is good to set a goal for yourself of what you want to achieve. Although the culture is very different , if you are open minded to understand the differences, you can harmonize with the Japanese society and even learn from it.
