Why did you decide to study in Japan?
A.
I was very interested and curious about Japanese culture and the Japanese way of thinking. I was interested to know how Japan see the world. Lastly, I want more opportunity to meet not only local people but also people from around the world.
Q.
What was the biggest challenge you experienced while studying abroad in Japan?
A.
Japanese language and hierarchy are some of my major challenges studying in Japan. It was quite difficult to adjust to the strong hierarchy high context culture. But people are kind here. Finding a part-time job is also very challenging.

What can international students enjoy in Japan other than studying?
A.
I was able to join many cultural events within and outside my university. These events allows me to have a cultural exchange and meeting many new friends. Furthermore, I joined my university’s student union which was a great organization experience in Japan.
Q.
What advice can you give to those who are thinking of studying in Japan?
A.
Be clear what is your purpose to study abroad. Set your long- and short-term goals. Japanese language is super important. Study abroad allows you to see the world differently so definitely try at least once. However, just enjoy every moment!
Q.
From 1 to 10 what is your satisfaction rate so far in Japan as an international student?
A.
8/10 satisfaction rate!
Living in Japan has its ups and downs. I really enjoy the opportunity where I can meet excellent individuals from around the world. I also enjoyed my university life joining organization, being a staff for university festivals. This study abroad experience certainly have changed my life!
